About Maker Mosaic
Maker Mosaic is a free, browser-based tool for printing an image at its true real-world size across several sheets of paper. You set the scale by measuring a known length in your photo, choose a paper size and overlap, and export the tiled pages — then print them at 100% and assemble them into one large print.
Everything runs locally in your browser. Your images are never uploaded to a server, there is no account to create, and the tool is free to use.
Who it's for
Makers who need full-size printouts at home: cosplay armor and prop templates, sewing and quilting patterns, woodworking and CNC templates, posters and wall art, blueprints, and stencils.
How to print a photo to scale across multiple pages
- Open Maker Mosaic and upload your image.
- Select the Measure tool, draw a line over an object of known length, and enter its real size.
- Pick your paper size (Letter, A4, or A3), DPI, and overlap margin.
- Add alignment patterns if you want help lining up the seams.
- Export as a ZIP of PNGs or a single multi-page PDF.
- Print at 100% / actual size, trim the overlap, and tape the pages together.
